About The Artist
Kristina Leo is a lifelong artist and graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, earning a Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2007 and a Masters in Arts and Teaching the following year. Her work is inspired by vast fields and deeply wooded areas surrounding the home she grew up in, located on the beautiful and rural Eastern Shore of Maryland. Through her various bodies of work, Kristina enjoys exploring the relationship between man and nature, sometimes tense, other times harmonious. A passion for antiquity and elegance combined with humble and natural roots define her aesthetic, and her ideas come to fruition through black and white photography, costume, painting, and fiber arts.
